Mr. Frank Oppong Yeboah is the Executive Vice Chairman of the company. He graduated from the University of Ghana with a BA (Hons.) degree. He holds a Diploma with Distinction in Insurance from the West African Insurance institute (WAII).
He is a Chartered Insurer and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (U.K.) He was the proud recipient of the prestigious Rutter Medal in 1999 for the best qualifying fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK). He has twenty six (26) years experience in the insurance industry.
He has attended several insurance management seminars and courses both locally and abroad. Among the courses he has attended are the Munich Re Marine Seminar held at the SSNIT Guest House - Accra, the 8th Advance course in Non - Life Insurance at SWISS Insurance Training Centre, Zurich, Switzerland and Willis Faber Marine Overseas Training Workshop, London.
He worked as a Senior Manager in the Motor Department of the State Insurance Company Ltd., having previously worked in that company’s Marine Department for several years.
Prior to joining StarLife Assurance Company Limited in 2006, he worked at Star Assurance Co. Ltd from 2000 to 2006 as the Chief Manager (Technical Operations). He was then promoted to the position of General Manager before joining StarLife Assurance Co. Ltd in March 2006. He is a visiting lecturer at the West African Insurance Institute in The Gambia.
Managing Director: Mr. Addison is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of UK with over 10 years experience in life assurance underwriting and policies administration. He is a graduate from the prestigious University of Ghana Business School with Bachelor of Science in Administration.
He has attended several courses internationally and locally. Before joining StarLife Assurance, he was the Head of Operations and Marketing of Vanguard Life Assurance. He was instrumental in establishing the Corporate Relations Department of Vanguard Life responsible for the marketing and management of group savings scheme including provident funds.
He is a member of the Technical Committee of the Life Office Association of Ghana and a part time lecturer of the Ghana Insurance College.
Mrs. Boatemaa Duffuor-Nyarko is the Executive Director and is in charge of Actuarial services, Regulatory Compliance and Research. She holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Economics from University of Warwick (UK), a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science as well as an MSc. in Actuarial Management from Cass Business School, City University (London, UK). She is also currently a member of the Institute of Actuaries in the UK.
She is currently on secondment as an Actuarial Consultant at QED Actuaries and Consultants in South Africa, which is an Aon group company. Not only has she had the opportunity to work with clients from South Africa but also Zambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Mauritius and Ghana.
She has had wide exposure in her field including specialization in performing Valuations (Gross Premium and Net Premium), Premium Rating, Embedded Values, Appraisal Values, Analysis of Surplus and Projected Accounts. Therefore, she has the requisite experience in Actuarial Management.
She has been working in the insurance industry for the last nine years and has worked in various departments such as marketing, customer service, underwriting, accounts and actuarial departments.
General Manager, Finance: Ms. de’graft-Dickson is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ post-qualification experience and holds an Executive Master Of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from the University of Ghana Business School.
She trained with Deloitte and Touche (Deloitte Hoskins & Sells), a reputable international firm of Chartered Accountants. She has had a wide exposure in her field and thus has the requisite experience in financial, secretarial, taxation, and management duties.
General Manager, Operations – Mr. Boakye is in charge of the corporate strategies and Investment of the Company. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School having completed KNUST with a B.SC degree in Mathematics. Prior to joining StarLife, Mr. Boakye was in charge of the Credit Control Unit of Vanguard Assurance Company Limited. He has over six years of experience in financial management.
Mr. Samuel Tamakloe an Akora(86), a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah Univeristy of Science and Technology (KNUST), and Kingston University, UK where he completed an MSC program in Data Communications and Networks (2005) has over 15 years experience in analyzing systems, networks and infrastructure as well as programming.
He started his working carrier in Yellow cab Ghana Ltd. in 1993. Then proceeded to Online Computer Solutions worked as a programmer and systems analyst from 1994 till 1996 when he joined John Bitar Group of Companies in Sekondi.
He proceeded to First Atlantic Merchant Bank to setup their Kumasi Office in 1999 and worked with them for almost two years then left for Unibank Ghana Limited as one of the pioneers of the bank in the capacity of Systems Administrator. After a brief stay in Unibank, he was appointed I.T. Manager of Vanguard Assurance Company Limited, where he spent over nine years implementing various systems that saw Vanguard grow from strength to strength.
As the GM, ICT of Starlife Assurance Company Limited, his wealth of experience in the Insurance sector and the ICT business will aid in the implementation of customer focused systems that will improve services to customers, increase customer confidence and increase shareholder profits. Mr. Samuel Tamakloe has also benefited from many enterprise solutions like Windows enterprise Server 2003, Microsoft SQL and Oracle 9i.
He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers association (IEEE) USA, Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE), UK and also a part time lecturer of the Ghana Insurance College. He also serves on the committee for ICT for the Ghana Insurers Association.
Mrs. Bernice Ruth Quainoo (Dip CII) is the Chief Manager, Corporate Market. She holds a BA (Hons.) degree from the University of Cape Coast and a Diploma in Insurance from the West African Insurance Institute (WAII). Bernice also has an MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management(GIMPA) and Public Administration with specialization in Project management.
Mrs. Bernice Quainoo has been working in the Insurance Industry for more than eight years during which she has worked and held several positions in the Marketing, Customer Service and Underwriting departments.
Senior Manager, Special Projects: Mr. Pianim is the Senior Manager for Projects.
Mr Pianim has over fourteen years experience in Project Management.
He holds B.SC Degree in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Ghana and he has extensive experience in the development of general-purpose software as well as insurance software.
Kofi is currently pursuing his EMBA degree at the GIMPA Graduate Business School.
Priscilla is the Senior Manager, Human Resource and she holds a BA degree in Religious Studies and Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, the Level one of Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana examination certificate, and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree (Human Resource Management) from the University of Ghana Business School.
She has over ten years experience in the Insurance Industry and has held the following positions - Accounts Officer and Credit Control Manager with Metropolitan Insurance Company.
She also worked as an Audit Assistant with Pannell Kerr Forster Chartered Accountants for ten years. Mrs. Abaidoo worked with L’AINE Services a job placement agency for twenty months before joining StarLife Assurance Company in February 2008.
She has attended seminars on quicker debt collection and effective supervisory skills, basic training on spreadsheet, basic audit procedures, audit planning, time management, identifying and testing of controls, customer service and dynamic team building skills.
Mr. Gyebi is the Senior Manager of Accounts Department. He holds a B Sc. Administration (Accounting Option - First Class Honers) and Executive MBA (Finance) degrees both from the University of Ghana Business School. He is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
He also holds a certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom.
He has over five years experience in the Insurance Industry and has extensive knowledge and experience in Accounting, Taxation and Finance.
He has attended several local and international seminars and conferences on Insurance, Management, Accounting, Finance and Taxation
Peter Kyei Nimoh is the Head of Retail Market and holds a BA (Hons) degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has over ten years working experience in the insurance industry, having worked with Global Impact Insurance Brokers, Unique Insurance Company and Enterprise Life Assurance.
He has attended many seminars, conferences and training courses. He is also a recipient of many awards and commendations, including Best Worker Award from Unique Insurance in 2002.
He joined Starlife Assurance in February 2007 as Zonal Manager, Western & Central Regions and in November 2008 elevated to handle the Southern Sector (comprising Greater Accra and Tema, Volta, Eastern, Western and Central Regions).
Peter is currently pursuing the professional Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) course at the Ghana Insurance College.
Ms. Alice N. L. Portuphy - Lamptey is the Head, Customer Service & Branch Relations. She holds a BA Social Sciences degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi, a Certificate in Marketing and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana.
Starting her working life with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Ms. Alice Portuphy – Lamptey occupied several positions, ultimately being appointed Director of Business and, two years later, Director of Corporate Affairs.
She has also worked as Sales Manager of Adom FM, Tema, and General Manager – Sales, Marketing & Corporate Affairs – Readwide Limited. Prior to joining StarLife she was General Manager – Sales & Marketing – of Computer Information Systems, Ghana. She has attended several professional courses and training programmes in Sales and Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, as well as Customer Care.
Kesewa is the Head, Retail Underwriting and Claims department and she holds a BA Honours degree the University of Ghana, Legon, a Diploma and Advance Diploma in Insurance from the Malta International Training Centre (MITC) and the Ghana Insurance College.
Kesewa has been working in the Life Insurance Industry for the past eleven years. She worked with CDH Insurance Company Limited before joining StarLife Assurance Company Limited.
Nashiru is the Head of Business Development, He holds an MBA in Marketing Management from the Graduate School of Central University College, BA (Hons) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon. Certificate in Securities from Ghana Stock Exchange and currently pursuing Diploma in Insurance at the Ghana Insurance College.
He has attended both local and international conferences and seminars, including AIO (Life Conference) in Rwanda, training on Pension Management, Effective Marketing Strategies, Business Process Reengineering, Corporate Governance and Business Development by QED in South Africa among others.
Mr. Iddrisu has been working in the Life insurance industry for the last five years, has rich experience in Business Development, Retail / Corporate sales and marketing of Life Assurance products. Prior to his current position, He was the Zonal Manager for Greater Accra Region.
He is a Manager in the Information Communication Technology Department and holds a degree in Computer Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
He has attended several seminars, including Certified Information Security Management practices, network security vulnerability management among others.
Mr. Agadzi has been working in the Life insurance industry for the last five years and has rich experience in Information Technology, Consulting and Software Development. Prior to his current position, he was a Deputy Manager in management of information systems.

He is a graduate of the Leicester University, UK with an MA in Mass Communications. In addition he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences, (Law and Sociology) from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
Sheriff has a Diploma in Information Technology from Leicester College, United Kingdom and an Advance Certificate in Radio and TV Journalism.
He has held various positions in sales and marketing in the banking and insurance industry over the past nine years (including a stint with Alliance and Leicester Bank plc, UK where he worked as a New Business Advisor for two years).
Prior to joining StarLife in 2007 he had a few years experience with Enterprise Life Assurance where he rose from a Sales Manager to a Branch Manager.
Vivian Azah (Mrs.) is the Acting-Head Internal Audit Department. She holds the Level two of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Examination (ACCA) and is pursuing a degree in applied accounting with the Oxford Brooke’s University UK.
She has six years experience in the insurance industry and three years experience with an NGO. She has attended several courses some of which are internal control and fraud prevention at (GIMPA), courses in IFRS and data analysis/information system audit.
